The attendance requirement for swim/dive class will be counted through canvas. As an athletic department we are required to put an assignment in canvas everyday like other classes. Please make sure to check-in everyday for swim. I have added a getting to know you assignment. Normally, you will just answer one question .... "Did you workout today? "
Next week I will be adding a goal setting assignment, but you will have several days to complete it.I really want everyone to put great thought into planning your goals for the year as an athlete.
Swim practice is currently NOT required . We are under UIL strength and conditioning rules until Sept.8th. The NAT Administrator and athletic director of the district made a plan for all swim teams since we are having to share a facility with all high schools. The time slot given to us was 1:30-3 pm. This is the only way our kids will get an opportunity to swim at the NAT. The pool is not currently accessible before and after school hours due to contracts with the different organizations renting the facility.
This is the plan for all swim teams until Sept.8th. The plan after that is to go back to our normal swim practice times.
IF you have a class to attend (zoom/conference/etc)during that swim time SCHOOL comes first. Please make sure to get your school work done. If you are able to complete your work at another time,then please come swim!!
